About Us
Somerset Opportunity Works grew out of a small group of customers of Novas Scarman's floating Support service in Somerset who first got together in December 2007. With the support of Novas Scarman this grew rapidly and soon it became clear that it was both possible and desirable to launch a County wide organisation to enable customers and other people who feel down and alone to support their own community. We had our first public launch on Wednesday, 9th April 2008 at Selworthy Road Youth Centre in Taunton.We aim to provide a range of activities organised by teams and to provide opportunities for personal development in assisting with our work.
In the future we hope to undertake a small number of exciting larger projects.
