SOW is organised within the administrative County of Somerset. The main committee is called the Alpha team; it is supported by the Hot team, who organise and collect resources, and by the iTAP team who handle information Technology, Administration and Publicity.

The membership is organised into five districts that are aligned with those of Novas/Scarman for ease of cooperation.

Members from any area may join any of the teams.
